At the beginning of 2015, after careful consideration, the Congregation decided to settle in his diocese of Mbinga / Tanzania at the request of Bishop John Ndimbo.
Litumbandyosi, the youngest station of the congregation, is located about 1000 km from the coast in the south-west of Tanzania . Together with the association PAMOJA of the parish of Glattbach-Johannesberg, which forms the partnership with the very poor parish of Litumbandyosi, a nurses’ house was built, and a kindergarten building is to be built as soon as possible .
The entire project is strongly supported by the Diocese of Würzburg and is given top priority by Bishop John Ndimbo von Mbinga.
In July 2017, the kindergarten pavilion with the toilet building and the kitchen in Litumbandyosi was completed.
Our first two sisters Esta and Yustina have been on site since May 2017. The two teachers Zainabu and Agnela have started teaching the 50-60 children.
Serving in one of the poorest regions is the charism of the Redeemer Sisters. The establishment of a kindergarten and the education offered with it can open up better life prospects for people.
The Litumbandyosi area is predominantly Catholic, so the nurses’ house is also intended to be an institution for the vocational ministry of the congregation. The intention is to commission female catechists to support the local Christian groups and to accompany the people on their journey of faith.
